The edition contains the author's arrangement of the Nutcracker Suite, which was formed during work on the ballet. Tсhaikovsky included in the Suite eight brilliant musical numbers of the ballet, mostly of a dance character. In preparing the edition, the notes, dynamics and articulation were refined from the full score.
