This volume contains two works by Nikolay Karlovich Medtner, the outstanding Russian composer of the first half of the 20-th century, which are rarely heard in concerts. Their performance requires considerable professional skills; the performers have to convey the author's intentions without breaking the integrity of the musical compositions.
