The author of the published works is а contemporary composer and People's Artist
of Kazakhstan, Bakir Bayakhunov (b. 1933). Most of his compositions are inspired by the images of the East and in some of them, he uses authentic Kazakh melodies. Bayakhunov's works are notable for the originality of their sonic material, richness of intonation, rhythmic inventiveness and openness to different musical cultures and traditions.
This album includes pieces with different levels of complexity and is intended for students of musical schools and colleges.
