Sonatas for solo violin by Ivan E. Khandoshkin (1747-1804) written in the nineties of the 18th century were first published in 1800-1808 by F. Ditmar publishing house (St. Petersburg).
In 1887 the sonatas were released in Moscow by P. Jurgenson publishing house with significant changes of the original text.
The present version of the sonatas is based on their text in the F. Ditmar's edition. All obvious misprints have been corrected without comments. The editor added some bowing marks, introduced indications of fingering and have his interpretation of long (uncrossed) appoggiaturas. Certain deviations from the original and variants of the performance are described in footnotes.
