Anton Viskov's choral cycle "Vesper Chants" was composed in the 1990s to texts from the canonical book of Orthodox church songs ("Obikhod"). Following the example of the "Domestic Liturgy" ("Demestvennaya Liturgiya") by A. Grechaninov, the composer has succeeded in creating a new musical interpretation of traditional Christian imagery. The Cycle was more than once performed in various concert halls of Moscow by the choir of the Tret'yakov Gallery and the "Blagovest" sacred music ensemble. Previously unpublished.
