This book is unique in its conception. The world-renowned violinist and conductor Dmitri Sitkovetsky appears before the reader in two roles. In the dialogues with music critic Ilya Ovchinnikov he is a very interesting interlocutor: he tells about himself, his teachers, his relatives and people close to him, about his emigration to the USA, about his first successes, festivals, about many musicians with whom he performed and worked.
In the dialogues of the second part of the book, Sitkovetsky's role is different: the reader witnesses his confidential conversation with legendary personalities. The musician's interlocutors are Bella Davidovich, Mark Taimanovitch, Neville Marriner, Evgeny Kissin, Misha Maisky, Barbara Hendrix, Leonidas Kavakos, Antonio Pappano, Gary Graffman, Alexander Antonenko and Yefim Bronfman.
The edition is colourfully designed (more than two hundred photos). It is addressed to musicians and a wide range of readers.
